  A Note from the Vicar
Hello, everyone.
Happy 2021!! Let’s look forward with anticipation to the year ahead as the old one fades behind. We have a few important dates to remember as the new calendar kicks off.
January 3rd The first Sunday of the month and year is when St. James celebrates the Epiphany. Please join in worship at 9:00 a.m. either in person or by Zoom.
January 23rd The Diocese of Tennessee holds its Annual Convention. Although, this year the meeting is a one- day event taking place by Zoom. The delegates representing St. James are George and Susan Horton, as well as Fr. John Runkle. Please keep these folks in your prayers as we join with Bishop John Bauerschmidt and the entire Diocese in discerning the work of the Church.
As most know, St. James resumed in-person worship on November 29th, with Advent I. Since then, we average approximately seven people at church, with approximately twenty joining in by Zoom. Either way, it makes for a lively worship experience. I pray our numbers will grow as more people find a way that is comfortable for them to participate. If you miss seeing some friends that you were accustomed to seeing at worship before the pandemic struck, please feel free to contact and encourage them to reconnect. It will benefit them, as well as the rest of us.
Faithfully,
Fr. John
